We Provide Cultural and Background Reports under section 27 of the Sentencing Act (2002).

Under Section 27: Offender may request court to hear person on personal, family, whānau, community, and cultural background of offender.

A Section 27 report will detail  the relevant cultural and background factors of an offender and how such factors are connected to their offending.

We do this by talking with you firstly then members of your whanau | family  who know about you and where you come from.  we may also talk to professionals that you have had contact with such as social workers, therapists. This give the judge wider view of you and helps them make a decision around your sentence | rehabilitation
