About Tiana
I am an occupational therapist and trained auxiliary at Wai Counselling and Psychotherapy. I bring a warm, steady, and deeply attuned presence to my mahi, supporting people to rebuild connection with themselves, develop meaningful routines, and strengthen their capacity for emotional and nervous system regulation.
As an occupational therapist, I support clients to understand how trauma, stress, identity, and life experiences shape their daily functioning, wellbeing, and ability to participate fully in life. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and culturally responsive, with a strong commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, low mood, trauma responses, overwhelm, burnout, identity shifts, and difficulties with daily living or sensory regulation. I support people to grow their internal resources, build sustainable habits, and regain a sense of confidence and control in their everyday lives.
I am known for my calm presence, practical wisdom, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I work collaboratively, honouring people’s strengths and supporting them to cultivate wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful engagement in their daily lives.
